Subject disapproves.
General Observations
Ted judges.
He is usually disappointed.
Ted observes the ranch from the living room, positioned directly at the door to the screened porch. From there, he watches events unfold with a level of concern that is not shared by anyone else.
He has attempted to communicate this concern silently, and at length.
These efforts have not been acknowledged.
Notable Incidents
The Summer of Porch Entertainment
When the peafowl occupied the screened porch as a brooder space, Ted and Bill discovered a new form of enrichment: watching.
They watched for hours.
Four tiny chaos agents, flapping and pecking and generating drama on the other side of the glass. Ted monitored the situation with the intensity of a nature documentary narrator who has opinions.
No one asked for his commentary. He provided it anyway.
The Chair Dispute
Ted and Bill competed for control of the chair positioned in front of the glass doors. This was prime viewing territory.
Ted frequently lost on technicalities.
Bill counts things. Ted does not. This may have been a factor.
Current Status
Still watching.
Still judging.
The situation persists.
Known associate: Bill (chair rivalry, ongoing).
