Leia presents as the emotional center of the flock — watchful, concerned, the first to sound an alert when something feels wrong.

This is a front.

Behind the scenes, Leia runs operations.

She works in tandem with Han like a wingman in a con movie, except the con is “make the younger birds miserable.” She has serious FOMO. Someone has to save our skins, and she has decided that someone is her.

The younger birds have a different perspective on this.

Notable Incidents

The Perch Protection Racket

Leia and Han have established a system for managing the greenhouse perches.

It involves sliding, crowding, and escalating levels of persuasion.

The younger birds eventually figured out why the roof looked appealing.

It was not in the brochure.

The Camera Incident

Leia was caught on camera during an enforcement session that crossed a line.

She was interrupted by a disembodied voice from the security camera.

She froze.

For exactly two seconds.

It took more than one intervention.

The Nightclub Bouncer Moment

During one particularly frustrating bedtime attempt, Leia stationed herself at the greenhouse door like a bouncer who had seen the list.

No one was getting past her.

The Little Ones got the message. They chose the roof instead.

The Turkey Summit

When wild turkey hens discovered the spilled birdseed the peacocks had already claimed, Leia puffed up to roughly twice her size and made her position clear.

The turkey hens did not even look up.

The standoff continues.
